Staying close to my calling

Part of my staying true to my calling is to stay up to date on all the latest software that I use. By me keeping up on all the technical I make it easy for my clients when it comes to solving their problems. I can use this program to create a short video to help with client questions etc. So when Techsmith introduced their latest version, Camtasia 2018, they also added Online Certification Training. I jumped at the opportunity to bone up on the latest and greatest program for education, in my book!
Camtasia is a screencasting software program that is kind of like desktop publishing for video.
Screencasting allows one to actually capture their computer screen to video. This makes it very easy to create video that involves say internet topics. Or to do “How To” when teaching software. Makes it easy to follow along with the video. It is almost as good as having a teacher next to you as you practice with the program. You can also use the program to edit any video that you shoot.
The above is a short 3 minute example of a video I created and put up on youtube. As an ex technical trainer in a past job, I just love how the newer technology can help people learn more easily. With technology ever increasing these days, I think we all need a shortcut!
For me the certificate is just a byproduct of all the knowledge that I acquire. Still it is nice to have!
